As the Landlords, Developers and Managers of Bridge Farm we have learnt a lot over the years. We have experience in how to efficiently convert older buildings into the most appropriate layout and specification to meet tenant demand.
Our new build developments offer a high standard workspace that can be tailored to meet specific tenant needs, ensuring long term stability for local businesses.
Our History
How it Started
Bridge Farm was purchased in 2009 by HB & MC Stroude, an agricultural business specialising in growing Sweetcorn.
The business has farmed in Barcombe and Ringmer since the early 1970’s.
Bridge Farm was previously a dairy farm and before that a county council small holding.
From Farm Buildings to Workshop Spaces
As an arable business the farm had no productive use for the ex-dairy and livestock buildings and began converting these into storage and workshop lets as part of the farms diversification strategy.
These buildings were converted through a phased development strategy with planning for change of use. (photos above)
With the success of the agri - workshop conversions the busines began to focus on industrial newbuild workshops and warehouses (photos below).

Recent History
Since completing conversion of the existing buildings in June 2016 and successfully letting all workshops prior to completion as well as upgrading the on-site infrastructure, a lot of confidence and scope was gained to expand the site further.
In 2017 we teamed up with local contractors to deliver 13,000 sq. ft of workspace at Bridge Farm. This development was once again fully let prior to completion.
We repeated this process in 2021, this time building 22,000 sq. ft of industrial workspace. As a result we welcomed many more local businesses to Bridge Farm and offered existing tenant businesses the opportunity to expand.
In 2023 we gained planning permission to build a 13,500 sq.ft industrial building. Groundworks commenced in mid-April 2024 and we expect the 4 new workshops to be completed and ready for local businesses to move into in March 2025.
